Expedition: 14-Day Coastal Heritage Expedition
From the moment a private Karibu Zanzibar car picked us up in Tanga, we knew this trip would be special. The next fourteen days were a perfectly planned journey through Tanzania’s rich coastal history.
Our adventure started in Tanga, a quiet and beautiful seaport. We stayed in a restored historic hotel right by the ocean. Our expert guide, Hassan, walked us through the ancient Amboni Caves, sharing stories of the past under the soft cave lights.
The trip to Bagamoyo was amazing. We traveled on a classic wooden boat, floating past green forests and wild birds. In Bagamoyo, we had a private tour of the 13th-century Kaole Ruins. The most touching moment was a quiet morning ceremony at the old port, where local elders shared their true history with us.
Karibu Zanzibar connected us directly with the local culture. We ate fresh seafood in family homes, learned to play traditional drums, and cooked ancient recipes. It was luxury travel with real meaning.
The Verdict: "Karibu Zanzibar didn't just show us Tanzania's coastal heritage, they immersed us in it with a depth and authenticity we've never experienced elsewhere."
Every great journey begins with a single conversation. If these personal guest stories inspire you to see the real, untouched side of East Africa, we invite you to step into the wild with us.
